The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) conducted its first self-deport operation, dubbed “Project Homecoming,” with a charter flight on Monday from Texas, and made stops in Honduras and Colombia, taking 64 illegal immigrants who chose to self-deport back to their home countries. It was a first of many more to come quoted a source from DHS.

DHS said in a post on X that all participants who chose to leave the U.S. were offered the same benefits as any illegal alien who self-deports using the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Home App.

“They received travel assistance, a $1,000 stipend, and preserved the possibility they could one day return to the United States legally,” DHS said. Snicker, snicker.. Yeah good luck trying to get back into the USA.

DHS also shared a video of the events leading up to the first flight, (DHS is a gloating over this any way it can) showing families preparing to leave Houston, where they were greeted and offered food, games and stuffed animals for their children (at least that's more than they had back in their country).

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the first ever self-deportation program which incentivizes illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the U.S. on a free flight and with a cash bonus. Side note, the app actually crashed once the work got out because more than 1 million of them attempted to get a free plane ticket and a thousand bucks.

“Project Homecoming” authorizes government-funded flights and offers money to illegal immigrants who are willing to self-deport. DHS spokesperson told us that the response from the illegal community was overwhelming.

When Trump announced the signing of the order in a post on Truth Social, he said the program would end up saving taxpayers “billions and billions” of dollars.

“We are making it as easy as possible for illegal aliens to leave America (we even put the app in several languages for the few illegals who can read. Any illegal alien can simply show up at an airport and receive a free flight out of our country,” Trump said. “Illegals can book a free flight to any foreign country. You can go anywhere you want as long as its an exit from USA."

DHS said days before the executive order was signed that migrants would be offered a $1,000 stipend each to leave. The department said this will be 70% cheaper for American taxpayers, as it currently costs DHS, on average, over $17,000 to arrest, detain, and deport someone.

“This deportation bonus will save American taxpayers billions and billions of dollars,” Trump said. And what type of American does not want the government to save taxpayers dollars?

Illegal immigrants are encouraged to use the CBP One app to arrange their deportations. The same app under the Biden administration was used to expedite migrants from scheduling appointments at official ports of entry before they were paroled into the U.S., which was discontinued on the first day of Trump’s second term. Biden admin was attempting to flood the country with illegal VOTES.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem shared a post about the first “Project Homecoming” flight on X, advising those in the country to take advantage of the program. That is if you are smart enough to be able to read.

“If you are here illegally, use the CBP Home App to take control of your departure and receive financial support to return home,” Noem wrote. “If you don’t, you will be subjected to fines, arrest, deportation and will never be allowed to return. If you are in this country illegally, self-deport NOW and preserve your opportunity to potentially return the legal, right way.”

Nokie Says: I'm all for individuals coming to America to better their lives. But only if it is done LEGALLY. There is little sympathy for those who attempt to illegally sneak into America and cause all sorts of issues for Americans.

Nokie Says: Remember what DHS is telling you. Last month, the agency launched an ad campaign urging people in the country without authorization to leave immediately. “If you don’t, we will find you and we will deport you,” agency Secretary Kristi Noem says in the ad.

Nokie Says: The sooner these illegals wake up and and realize/admit that America is not for everyone, the better off everyone will be. Americans have worked hard to build this country and you uneducated, non-skilled free loaders are not welcome here. We paid our taxes to support this country, what have you illegals done for this country except expect a free handout.

Nokie Says: To all those illegals who fear being plucked up and deported, should consider leaving on their own terms. But then again, most illegals aren't smart enough to indulge in this type of a consideration.

Nokie Says: This is the 'state of mind' of most illegals. "What.. give up all this FREE housing, free medical, free government allowance, my free cell phone, our kids free education, and self-deport!!" We may be a little mentally slow but we are not crazy.

Nokie Says: I am not political bias, but this new Trump administration appears to be acting with some common sense and attempting to preserve this country from an illegal invasion of free loaders.

Nokie Says: Can you name any country other than USA that allows illegals to stay without proper papers, passport, visas? No, there isn't. America is being treated like a fool for allowing this mass illegal immigration to exist.
